Crime first began to decline in the USA in the year 1992 and has consistently
done so since. Perhaps it's about more people owning guns, or maybe it's
just because 1992 was the same year the nicotine patch came out.
If you want to connect the dots and show cause and effect, both are
reasonable assumptions in the debate.
