The better question would be if the 15 or 16 year old offered nude
pictures of them self over the internet would they be in violation of
this law? Scary thought, if tried and convicted as an adult the teen
would have to serve no less than 5 years in federal prison for just
the offer. Even worse is if the government went after the parents.
They would have to do the time, register as sexual offenders for the
rest of their lives, and the child/children would be placed in the
state's custody all for an offer by a minor (which in the law's eyes
are not competent of what they're doing) to transfer photos which
could be subjective construed as obscene.
