GROVE
Grove

DAVID
This is the second in a series, I hope of post-minimalist poetry.
The first "Olive" was made up of two stanzas of one line and two
syllables each,
This piece has two stanzas of one line each with one syllable per
line.
The poem, for me captures the essence of our local cemetery which is
situated in a grove of pine trees: pinus radiata, or Monterey pine,
I know over half of the people in there, or know of them. Today they
total more than the living, at least amongst the locals.
Over a long long time the people there will recycle... one day I hope
to join them.
David.
