The Manufacturing Operations Engineering Manager will be directly responsible
for the processes, equipment, procedures and general manufacturing operation.
This position is with a biopharmaceutical packaging manufacturing facility
in central Belgium. The company is an international technology company, with
a fast growing division, where cutting edge thinking arises from a work
environment

generously.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage the roadmaps to enable operations to be effective at
achieving continuous improvement in cost, quality, delivery and safety
• Responsible for integrating products into the factory environment from
the New Product Introduction process
• Deploy Lean principles and six sigma across the facility
• Create, manage and validate the deliverables from product development to
sources of supply, follow up capital investment projects and ensure technology
transfer with outsource suppliers
• Review and advise on external contract engineering services
• Contribute to the definition of the manufacturing strategy in conjunction
with the global Operations Team and establish, validate and execute the supply
chain design against the manufacturing strategy
• Manage the professional development of the Operations Engineering Team
(4 engineers)
• Create a team focused organization, reward success and promote a culture
of safety and CIP across the facility

Education/Experience:
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a Masters Degree preferred
• Minimum experience of 15 years in operations engineering in a related
engineering
discipline
• At least 7 years experience in a leadership role with a core strength in
managing technical teams
• Extensive experience in New Product Introduction processes and in manufacturing
process development
• Familiarity with GMP quality standards is a plus
• Demonstrated results in continuous improvement processes
• Proven ability to influence leadership at all levels
• Proven expertise in developing and executing a strategic plan
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and push ideas to a win/win solution.
