The Plant Manager will be directly responsible for planning, budgeting,
production
and overall quality of a biopharmaceutical packaging manufacturing facility
in central Belgium. This is for an international technology company, in a
fast growing division, where cutting edge thinking arises from a work environment
that values innovation, expertise and hard work and gives of all three
generously.
The company will look to you to take ownership of the overall operations,
day to day continuous improvements, cost control while improving the overall
profitability of the plant. The Plant Manager will have overall responsibility
to ensure customer satisfaction, quality and safety are embedded in the culture.
The responsibilities are diverse and challenging. This is a senior level
role, which will enable you to participate in the international growth of
the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Lead operations to be effective at achieving plant efficiency through
continuous
improvement in cost, quality, delivery and safety;
· Provide leadership and direction to achieve organizational objectives;
· Achieve the highest quality and safety standards;
· Plan, organize, integrate and review staff resource input with the production
function to successfully meet current production demands;
·Responsible for budgeting, strategic planning and meeting capacity to deliver
revenue growth;
· Develop the manufacturing strategy, in conjunction with the global Operations
Team, and establish, validate and execute the supply chain design against
the manufacturing strategy;
· Interact with customers and ensure their requirements are satisfied;
· Maintain successful relations with the unions;
· Implement lean manufacturing techniques and systems;
· Foster an environment of teamwork and a commitment to excellence;
· Direct the development and establishment of essential manufacturing processes
to accommodate the constant introduction of new products into the facility;
· Manage the professional development of the Operations Team;
· Create a team focused organization, reward success and promote a culture
of safety and CIP across the facility.
Education/Experience:
·Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
· 10-15 years experience in operations manufacturing role;
· 5-7 years experience in a leadership role;
· Experience in New Product Introduction manufacturing processes;
· Must speak Flemish and English;
· Familiarity with GMP quality standards a plus;
·Proven track record developing and executing strategic plans;
· Experience with lean manufacturing;
· Experience with Oracle/ERP system (implementation expertise preferred).
