Lapinot a des problèmes en Suède

Son éditeur suédois lance un appel à l'aide car le bureau des affaires 
culturelles suédois ne veut pas soutenir l'édition  d'une bande 
dessinée pour adultes utilisant des dessins pour enfant (!).

Hi!

First of all, I have not introduced myself but been lurking on this 
list almost a year- my name is Mikke Schirén and i am running the 
Swedish publishing house Komika (http://komika.se), and the online 
magazine Komika Magasin (http://komikamagasin.se). And as you will 
notice in this mail, my English writing skills is not so very good, but 
hopefully you will understand

For some months ago I published the first album (or album 0) of the 
Lapinot-series in Sweden, Slalom. And recently the swedish office of 
cultural affairs, Kulturrådet, told me that they could not support the 
publication with grants - Sweden is a very small country for comics and 
we need the grants to publish quality comics. And if they will not 
support the first part of the series, I could easy kiss goodbye to 
support for the others part...

Anyhow, the reason that they did not like to support the publication is 
that "The story is for adults, but the images are for kids", that is, 
according to me, totally ridiculous. Now they have given me a chance to 
opponent them. So I wonder if there any of this list who could write a 
couple of rows about Trondheim and the Lapinot-series, why its is a 
quality work or something like that, and I could attach that to my 
opponent to them. I know that there a many of you on this list that I 
think that will listen on...
